Proud to have our school on the traditional lands of the Shíshálh (Sechelt) Nation,
ever since 1915 Halfmoon Bay School has educated our children and been the center of our small community. We have grown in size, in experience and in meeting the challenges of an ever-changing world.
We have been in our present location on Northwood Road since 1989 when we moved from our small one room school on Trout Lake Road.
We take pride in the natural beauty of our idyllic location, surrounded by forests, hiking trails, parks and crown land filled with wildlife, native to our West coast environment.
We are officially designated a B.C. Community School and we have on-site day care, after school programs, tween nights, Homework Club and special classes.
We have lots of opportunity for student leadership in our school and student council. We have wonderful community volunteers who help out in many ways in our school from reading with primary students to serving hot lunches. We also have a very supportive, active parent’s group, PAC.
Halfmoon Bay School is truly an exceptional learning place where we work hard to ensure all feel safe, confident and accepted.
